I don't get it. Why is everyone so anxious to avoid Jackrabbit Trail? I find it pleasant. If anything, the slog up the backside of Oak Glen Road is the part of that ride that is sad making. Sure, the exit from Jackrabbit involves riding on the side of a freeway for a few miles, but that's just part of the adventure.
Regardless, no one is gonna get me to pay to ride the roads that are right outside my front door. I could ride to Onyx right now, if I wasn't fully aware that it's currently about 30º at the summit.
