200 miles in so far, with 50 more planned for tomorrow. 250 miles ridden in Feb will be a new record for me. That is for sure.

another rain filled day today in socal, so I didn't pack the bike for lunch ride. Might do a wet trail run instead

2/6 - 28 minutes
2/10 - 30 minutes
2/13 - 22 minutes
2/16 - 35 minutes
2/17 - 25 minutes - 5 miles outside
2/21 - 42 minutes - 9 miles outside
2/22 - 41 minutes - 9 miles outside
2/27 - 37 minutes

Total - 260 minutes -- 23 miles

Goal - 300 minutes

40 minutes tomorrow on the trainer will reach my goal .. and I found the Polar H7 HRM unit, so all I had to do was order a new strap. And the HRM doesn't lie ... I was dogging it the first couple of weeks, which, is to be expected a bit, as I get back to it, but I also notice I ride harder and more focused when I can see my Heart Rate and work to keep it in the target zone.

Filthy casual.

It bucketed rain on me today-- forecast for 20% chance-- and I managed to get in 85 miles to squeak out the Strava distance challenge with 4km to spare. Losing the old frame mid-month cost me five days of riding in a row, so I only got in 18 rides for the entire month, the lowest number of rides (and hours) since November of 2015.

779.4 miles
47.6 hours
32,713ft

I will state for the record-- I genuinely needed those 5 days off. My speeds are up, my intensity is down, and I was knocking out 40+ miles a day for a week straight to try to chase down the distance challenge, with virtually no lasting fatigue. I seriously doubt I can force myself to stay off the bike for more than 1 day in a row, though. I took two days off at the beginning of the month for the first time in almost 2 years.

I just know that I spent the past two days absolutely soaking wet, need a day off, and am looking forward to the forecast high of 71º on March 1st.

we got DUMPED on, Palomar Mt got 5" of rain today smashing it's 100 year old record. I'm not far away from there and we smashed our 100yo rain record as well with 2.3" for a single day

Tomorrow I fore see a bunch of bunny hopping debris going on.
