Started my new life on a 2013 (?) Raleigh Detour 4.5 hybrid(no pic of that bike at the moment), a great strong bike, put about 10,000 miles on it and lost a substantial amount of weight in the process. Although I'm technically not a Clyde anymore, as I've been fluctuating around 180 lately, I feel like I'll always be part of this group. I wanted to wait until I dropped below 200 to get my first (ever) road bike... A TREK 1.1

After getting to 180ish, I got my first drop bar bike. This particular day I was experimenting with some of my older Panniers, just stuffed with whatever to play. Happened to be Terry Fox day here in Canada. I rode 178km, felt good. (2010 Giant Defi II)
Winter brought me back to 212lbs.
My love is touring, have a new bike built for this coming summer, 2016 Marin Muirwoods (itching to run up the miles on it!).

This is my main squeeze. I built this bike a few years back, just starting to get back into riding. 2011 Carbon Synapse frame with Ultegra 6800 22 speed group set with an FS-K crank. If I keep riding a lot I'll look at upgrading wheels, but right now just rocking some Mavic Aksium's.

I like them so far, only had them for a month but have 3 century on them. The roll nice and fast at speeds. I haven't done long climbs on them yet but will soon. I'm about 210#

Hmm.. back in 2013 before ACL surgery I was down to about 210, maybe I"ll consider a wheel upgrade if I can drop those 40lbs and get back down in that range! Glad to know these will hold up to that mileage and weight without issue.

Most of these get ridden (I actually have a few more --- but confining this to ones that get some seat time -- the garage queens and pure display pieces aren't pictured)
Lately the carbon Cannondale and the red DeRosa get the most love, ---- I have a mix of C&V stuff and some late model stuff thrown in to spice things up ,
I have the saddle to bar height as close to the same on all of these as I can get with a couple of exceptions - so I can jump on any one of them when the mood strikes
Cannondale Synapse carbon - '13 model - this is my newest bike (not the latest acquisition , just the newest model ) --- its set up for some serious hill climbing here with a MTB rear cassette , (the big ring is locked out - its strictly a climbing setup, and the pie plate rear cluster has since been replaced with a normal 11-27
DeRosa PRofessional - modernized - with modern controls and group set, it gives up nothing to a new bike
Fausto Coppi - Shimano equipped hot rod --- short coupled bike seems just made for criteriums and similar events , --- Columbus Genius - this bike corners like a criterium Cannondale, and just rockets out of the hole when you stomp on it
DeBErnardi - Campy Record/Chorus --- had this one since new and recently restored it as it had fallen into disrepair
Colnago Super -- Campy Record - SLX frameset , - not a lot of miles on this one yet so not much to say ,
Debernardi #2 -- Setup for long days in the saddle with a triple drivetrain (Campy Veloce) and a Technomic stem
'04 Pinarello Opera, Dura Ace 7800 - Frame looks similar to the Coppi above, but the manners are 180 degrees different -- this one rides like a long smooth luxury car in comparison
Trek 5900 OCLV "lightweight" model - D-A 7700 -guarded by my sweet girl April - for when I want to channel my inner Lance (minus the needles and pills of course)
Waterford track bike -- this is the one exception -- it does NOT get ridden --- living 180 miles from the track has been a contributing factor there, but I am working on increasing my track time this year
Cannondale Criterium (actually have 2 of these, one red and one blue ) -- Rocket ships --- not the most comfortable bikes, but they do perform well,

My Crosstrail on the C & O, one of my favorite trails. Working on losing more weight and will treat myself to a road or gravel bike. I'm really looking forward to being able to do what many of you have with being able to get any kind of bike you want with no restrictions to your own weight. But so far, my Crosstrail is doing good with helping me get there:

This Clydesdale's Stable
Here are my bikes:
1990s Trek 990 Singletrack Small.jpg
1990's Trek 990 Singletrack - An old beater I picked up because I can leave it at train stations with little fear of it disappearing. Quite fun to ride.
1990s Miele Tivoli Road Issue Small.jpg
1990's Miele Tivoli Road Issue - My first road bike since I was about 12 or 13. Bought it used last year. Miele was a Canadian company started by an Italian immigrant with a love of Italian road bikes. Still can't quite get comfortable with downtube shifters but I'm working on it.
2011 Trek Allant Small.jpg
2011 Trek Allant - This was the first bike I bought when I got back into cycling. I've put thousands of miles on it commuting, running errands and exploring the city. I love the upright riding position in traffic. It's a lot of fun and relatively quick for a heavy bike.
2016 Trek Emonda ALR5 Small.jpg
2016 Trek Emonda ALR5 - My newest addition. Bought at the Toronto Fall Bike Sale last year. Kept looking for a bike in my price range with 105 components and this bike has the full 105, even the brakes. It's been waiting patiently all winter and I'm just getting it set up now. Still deciding between road pedals or mountain bike. I run mountain bike pedals on the Miele and double sided (flat/spd) on the Allant so I initially thought I'd stay with what I'm comfortable with. But now I'm leaning towards road pedals. Anybody have any thoughts/advice?

Thanks!
I kind of fell down the C&V rabbit hole for a couple of years.
I admit I could get by quite nicely with just the carbon Cannondale and the blue DeBernardi -- that would give me something speedy, and then a triple chainring classic steel bike with a little more upright stance
But, --- I have made another hobby entirely out of building and collecting
Thankfully, -- my interest has shifted more towards actually Riding them than wrenching on them now that the weather is turning nicer ---- its less expensive that way

The carrot on a stick for me getting from 276 to under 220 was this custom made Clockwork. I wanted a bike that would finally fit me and one I could keep forever. Even though I have a few other bikes I ride now this one will be with me to the end.

haha...yeah...a different breed for sure. The Big Unit is a work in progress. It actually has a different fork now and I'm having a new front wheel built now to match the rear. Flow EX on Hope hubs. New fork is a Bontrager Bowie and the bike is now sporting Hope brakes too. I'd only ride SS if there wasn't so much climbing around here.

Let's see if this works, I'm having trouble getting a direct link out of google photos, the jerks. Normally I just have some aluminum tubeless wheels on there but some times I want to feel fancy. Large roubaix frames look ridiculous but I don't care.
