I thought April was going to be a bust do to being busy. I had around 25 miles going into this last week of the month. 63.75 miles today puts me maybe able to get 100 miles

4/9: 2 mile "test ride" to make sure the bike was ready for the new season.
4/10: 10 miles (too exhausted to ride after an 11 hour work day, probably should've skipped the ride but couldn't pass up 80 degrees in April)
4/11: 25 miles (great weather, decent ride, what more to ask for?)
4/13: 10 miles (first ride on a rail-trail behind my workplace, crosswinds coming and going even though most of the trail was sheltered by trees/buildings, kind of ironic. Probably would have kept going if I didn't burn off much of my energy working yesterday
4/14: 30 miles (Great weather, decent ride, realized I've got some work to do before my big 50-miler/possible 100 miler I have scheduled for the end of the month)
4/29: 100 MILES (First century, ~7.5 hrs ride time (~30 min break in between - total elapsed time was 8:15:20). Couldn't have asked for better weather. Now that I've actually rode a century, I don't think long distance cycling is really for me. Not sure what hurts more my rear end or my legs..both were equally sore this morning. I think I'll stick with rides up to 65 miles instead. Dedicating at least 8 hours to ride was a difficult task with my schedule, since it took me over 2 years to finally do it.

MTD: 177 / 400
YTD: 177

Well, not going to lie I slacked off A LOT this month, there were some perfectly nice days I should've been out riding but didn't for one reason or another, then some days I wanted to ride but had other responsibilities to deal with. I should've expected I wouldn't be able to squeeze in 400 miles for the start of the "season"- oh well, at least I managed near half of it which isn't anything to be ashamed of. Forecasters calling for rain today plus I'm in recovery from my century yesterday so I don't think I'll be on the bike today. Tomorrow starts "National Bike Month" -- I won't take part in any public challenges but will likely create one of my own.

April 27 = 14.48 miles. . . . .April 28 = 5.13 miles
April 29 = 09.07 miles. . . . .April 30 = 11.59 miles

Whew, what a month. First time I've done 30 straight days on the bike and man, am I ever feeling it. Some low numbers in the last 10 days bears that out. I may need to take a day or two off to recuperate before I start really training for my 40 mile Tour de Cure ride coming up in just six weeks time.

MTD = 326.18 miles of (at least) 250 miles.

Last week of April was either cold and snowy or I was too busy to get out, (except for today). Considering I only rode about 640km last year, I'm well on my way to a great 2017 on the bike!

Started April with a 100 mile goal. Got sidetracked with work... but with 8 miles today, managed to clear 100km instead. Just. Barely.

And with May's arrival in two hours and 16 minutes, we all get to start over. Insert evil laugh here.

4/18 - 11 miles
4/24 - 16 miles

Goal - 320 miles
Total - 135 miles

Finished at 135 miles ... after several GLORIOUS weather weeks in early April, the end was absolutely awful. Between breaking the spoke and getting it fixed, and rain and cold and wind that has just droned on and on, I haven't budged since 4/24.

It's given me the opportunity to do some maintenance/upkeep on my bike though. I've replaced brake pads and am now using Kool Stops. I also removed the old Sigma computer and wires that were on the bike, since I don't use it any more, and I've stripped my old bar tape off. Will be replacing it today. Supposed to improve, weatherwise, in the coming days, so I'm hoping for more miles.

Well, I didn't reach my goal for the month, but I will say that it was a challenging month. We did ride in the rain one night after work and the last day of the month was the MN Ironman bike ride. We had rain, snow and sleet on the ride yesterday. From a light drizzle to downpour. I'd do it again.

4/6 - 19.8 miles

Hey guy's, I've been on tour most of the month. Yes I broke my goal of 1,000km.
Best of all I weighed myself the other day, 196lbs. Started about 220ish.
