WonderMonkey's 2017 Riding Thread

I've been fighting an injury for the longest time. Read this: http://www.bikeforums.net/clydesdale...road-back.html

Today I participated in an event for "Ride Your Bike To Work Day." Calf/leg feels good (so far) so if that continues, next week I'll bring my bike into work and do daily small rides... around 10 miles or less. I'll keep to that distance (or less) and under a certain pace.

I'm hoping I can work past the issue and actually get some riding in.

This morning was 6.5 miles total. I've been off the bike SOOOOO long that my knees are tight and my rump is feeling the time in the saddle. If I can truly get back on the bike it's going to suck and be great all at the same time.

Glad to see you on the bike again Monkey. Now get some miles under your belt, and get your butt tough again.

That's a statement that only sounds normal here on this site!

Today is the second ride on this "Don't call it a comeback, comeback" attempt. I felt good all day and felt good during the ride. Friday was 6.5 miles and today was 8.7 miles. Assuming I feel good tomorrow I'll do the same 8.7 mile route that I did today.

9.3 mile ride today. Again felt good. I'll take tomorrow off and then ride again on Thursday. If I can see riding Friday I'll keep the distance under 10 miles. If I don't think I can ride Friday (last day at this job) then I'll bump my miles up just a tad.

Not a mobile bike but I'm starting Spin Class this coming Monday. I'm getting tired of saying it, and I'm sure you guys are getting tired of hearing it, but this is to test my calf/leg. I spoke to the facility and they are easily ok with me not pushing things at all.
