Colombus Muscle fork....semi clydesdale?
Any heavier riders out there riding the Columbus Muscle Fork? I'm in the 180 lb range and am looking at one. Wondering how the flex, ride and deflection is. It' s in the same component weight range as other pretty solid contenders, like the ouzo pro and the alpha q. Just wondering how it stands up.
Thanks

Heavier? Are you crazy? The lightest I've been in the last 15 years is 185 lbs and on one of my bikes I have a Look HSC-1 which looks like it would collapse under a 13 year old.
The Muscle fork is strong. Carbon forks all move a little bit near dead center but tighten up very rapidly. You can't feel the motion unless you've been riding a heavy steel fork for a long time.
If I was recommending a fork to buy I'd normally suggest a Look or an Easton though since I believe them to be the best of the best.

at 180 you are a mere featherwieght. you can ride any stem on the market without worry.
Now, when I was as high at 268 I had some concerns about my stem!

I rode the Muscle when I was in the 185 range on my Cinelli Starlight and really found it to be a very stiff fork. It's not the lightest CF fork around but it never flexed. I would highly recommend it.
