In honor of me breaking the 300 lb barrier and losing 78 lbs so far, here is a comparison of me from Dec 2004, close to my heaviest weight, and about 20 mins ago.

I dont think I exhibit the extreme weight loss that some of you have experiance (great job to everyone who has lost any weight while enjoying cyclying). I dont have any 'real' full shots of my self but i think the two i'm posting show the weight lost. The first picture (me and my brother) was taken durring winter of 2006 I was at 6'3" 240, the second picture was taken fall of 06 6'3" still but at about 210 and with a hair cut! http://photos-041.ak.facebook.com/ip...01041_7211.jpg http://photos-783.ak.facebook.com/ip...02783_5254.jpg

I shave, and also hate it. But I do it so I can look younger.

I just shaved in November....1972! Brian if you can use the cpap mask that uses the nose pillows then a beard is no longer an issue.

Right now though, I am working the night shift at work, since the only folks who see me some days are the other bums on the night shift, I only need to shave if I'm going out in public, last week I shaved Monday, then didn't shave again until Sunday..... Really cuts down on the cost of razors, I went from a blade a week, to a blade a month.:D |

I can't grow a beard...a partial beard...or a stache.

That's amazing Tom. I know many people have said this before, but you really are an inspiration. I am currently at 261 and I just started keeping track of my weight loss. I plan on taking pictures every day so I can really see the changes. I had actually never seen a picture of myself recently with my shirt off and I was certainly surprised how much I had let myself go. Hopefully I will be another one of your success stories. :)

Wow, you guys are really a inspiration... Keep it up...
At 278 pounds I bought a new bike last winter.. This spring I started riding again.. I am down to 255 already. Nothing compaired to what you fellas have done I realize but got to start somewhere :-) My goal is to be down to 200 by this winter... Guess I better get back on my bike... |

Incidentally, anyone who has seen the film "Rocky" will recognize the steps. http://lh4.google.com/neil.thehistor.../NeilRocky.jpg |
