Weight Loss: Post Your Before and After Pics Here!

Well... I'm back again. It's been close to a year since riding and I have gained all my weight back but I'm determined to do this again but with a few more changes in my long term strategies. Last time my weight loss was attributed to my cycling alone and I never really changed my eating habits, if anything I wound up eating more as I lost weight and increased my cycling mileage. This time I want to focus on the diet and not succumb to the munchies after a hard ride. Also, last time, once I reached my goals I started falling back into old eating habits....once again causing the Yo to Yo again!! Wish me luck... I hope to post here often. I'll post a photo tomorrow sometime to mark the new start.
Cheers!
Cheers!

Thanks for the welcome! I'm bound and determined this time. Over the past few months I have started looking at life a little differently after finding out my wife had breast cancer back in February. I have been helping her a lot during this time and have begun to realize how fragile life really is and the we need to take care of the body we have now before it comes to get you.

Thanks for the welcome! donhaller my wife and I will keep you and your wife in our prayers. My motivation is also health as I see my grandkids start to grow and I want to spend healthy fun time with them and my wife. Looking to lose alot of weight and to get into overall healthy condition.
My wife and I have a pretty nice riding road which is closed to cars due to construction. We joked tonight coming home we should sabatoge the road so they never finish!
BYW hiw do you get the bike with the weight loser tracker onto your post?

Everybody on this post is Fu$%ing amazing. A true inspiration. I weight 245 pounds right now and I've hit kind of a wall. It was getting a little frustrating, but after seeing these pics and reading these post I'm gonna
a)stop complaining.
b) keep at it

if you reach a plateau - try some different sports or activities. I have lost 16kg (126 - 110kg) by doing cardio, circuits & weights in the gym and sensible eating. I am now looking to get back on the bike in a couple of weeks.
and keep at it, don't get downhearted - come here if you do..

I'm enjoying seeing all your inspiring before/after pics, and I'm proud to be able to say I can really see a difference in mine too!
I shied away from the camera when I was large for the most part, but I do have a couple where I was caught. The sad thing is, this isn't even me at my biggest. I think I gained some additional pounds after this picture was taken before I did something about it.
I'm the dude in the blue and white stripe
And here I am today:
43 pounds lighter overall, and maybe 30-something pounds lighter than in those pics!
I still have a little further to go, but I'm glad I took some 'after' pics today and compared them myself so I can actually visually see the difference as opposed to just feeling it and thinking I might see it in the mirror. This is the first time in a long time I can say that the camera doesn't make me look fat, although I do still have a bit further to go to reach my goal.

I must admit that about 25 pounds of my weight loss was really rapid due to getting off the medications I was on for 3 months after an injury last season. I've been hovering at the current level for a while now, and need to re-formulate my plan of attack for the last few pounds.

this thread got me to join - to see ALL the pics and links posted.
thank you all for the motivation.
6'4", was right at 300 July 4th. Biking daily since I'm down to 285. Feel much stronger.
have plenty of 'biggun' pics...but will hold off posting till some change is noticable - right now, it's all just how I'm feeling.

I only started my diet & exercise routine at the beginning of this month. This photo was taken 3.5 years ago (I don't like cameras, and don't have many photos of myself), but I basically looked the same 3 weeks ago. Since July 3rd, I've lost 17lb, and about 1.5" off my waist.
I'll have to start taking more photos of myself as I shrink during the upcoming months.
I'm trying to ride at least 40-50 miles per week, and my wife and I have started a Low Glycemic diet. She's keeping pace with me, and has lost about as much as I have.

I've still got work to do, so there isn't an "after" but I will post anyway.
Me at somewhere above 285. I wouldn't get on the scale, I just know thats the last number that I saw and I believe I was a little lighter than in this pic.
At 212 and 19% BF. I really don't care what my "weight" is, but I would like to get to around 12% BF

January 2006 +/- 260
January 2007 290 (or more?)
January 2011 210ish
August 24, 2011 This was taken by a friend as he spoke with another friend of ours who lives 60 miles away and has not seen me since before Aug 2009
Sept 1, 2011; got this jersey from Nasbar. When I saw it I had to have it and besides the yellwo one above is a Large or Extra Large from back when I was a bigger dude (like a real Cyde as opposed to a near cyde) I do not think the 32 oz bottle(s) I had in the pockets on 082411 will make this jersey sag like they did the yellow one either. (Found a more in focus picture!)
