From 360 to 310 since July

Hi everyone, my name is Matt and I just joined this site (this is my first post actually) and since I saw this Clydesdales section, I figured I would chime in. I have decided to start being more active, so I have started a plan of biking and hiking and eating better. It must be working because I have lost 50 pounds since I started. I was one of those big guys that thought" Even though I am big, I am still very active and healthy" Well as soon as I decided to walk a few miles or take a 20 mile bike trip, I realized how out of shape I really was. I couldn't believe it! Now I bike more, hike more and feel much better.

I am glad to have found this site. I threw out my old junker and built my custom urban assault bike and I am ready to hit the rail trails and dirt paths here in the northeast!

My Stats: 6 ft tall and a svelte 310 pounds (down from 360)

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Great job Matt! It gives me lots of encouragement to hear the success stories on this site. I'm looking forward to cracking the 300 barrier. I'm feeling so much better since I started riding. Again great job!!

I too just hit the 310 mark. YAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO was looking at some old medical forms yesterday and I have not been this low since Sept 12, 1995. I have lost 14 lbs since Jan 1st and a total of 65 since June 1, 2006.

Congrats!! We are all going down. Maybe when we lose all the weight, we can pose for a calendar in our speedos and call ourselves the "bikingdales" !!!

haha, could you imagine...
