Parts help...Good bad or indifferent?
I know.... just ride! lol i will buuuuut! while i'm ordering the shoes,clothing..etc.. in preperation
i want to know if i need to add anything?
I've checked on vintage-trek.com but they dont really go into quality.
First off i'm around 380..
1982 Trek 412
Anyone know about these parts? (quality or durability)
- Maillard hubs/rims (front and back 36 spokes,studded spokes)
- IRC Road winner II Duro 27 1/4 hybrid KV Belted 100psi tires
- Sakae SR custom cranks
I've been on the cycling class bikes all winter and this is a bike i just got fairly recently, I have several rides planned out this spring/summer and want to make sure i'm not face planting with my new riding buddies!
any assistance would be helpful! thanks guys!

The Sakae SR custom cranks are a well made Japanese product; they are known as Suntour today. Just make sure the rings themselves are in good shape.
The tires? Well if they are not seriously dry rotted, they are tires…

I'd not spend a lot of money upgrading this bike but just ride it. If you have to do much more then $200 to repair or replace something, look into a new bike.
