I'm hurting, but it's a good hurt!
I demonstrated slow lift techniques today for Health Psych today, and got a good 1.25 hour workout today! Free GYM TIME.........GRAVY!:D I had everybody doing slow 2 second rep lifts and breathing control, nothing better for a burn without bulking up on muscle using moderately light weight.:D I also hot a new personal high with 180 reps each leg on a 2 second cycle at 365 pounds on the leg press doing single leg presses:p
BONUS: I chinned myself at full body weight today for 15 reps, not bad for a cyclist with the upper body of a noodle!:D :D Lord, I hurt! Right now, I feel like a limp rag, but the endorphin high is still kickinghttp://www.nullsternekochen.de/berli...ley/flyele.gif |
Just wait until tomorrow...

By the way, do any of you have any idea on the caloric burn on slow lift cycle weight wrk?

You're burning a lot more than I did. :D :D |
15 honest no cheatin chinups is a big deal, congratulations. I'll guarantee there aren't many posting here that can match that.

All I know, is this morning, I can barely move! I thought I was getting into some reasonable shape, but those chins did me in I think! I think for a while at least, I'll be going back to counterweighted chins.

Was a swimmer in high school Used to do slow/very-light high rep stuff. On my upper body days I usually did bench press last... 250 reps or so and at first it always seemed the football team was coming in when I finished my sets. Alwas got some funny looks, this big fit (at the time) guy giving everything he has just to bench 55 pounds or so...
