AAAAH, I see you found Elden's blog!:D Great writing!

Now that is a sweet looking shirt! I like the simple logo. Too bad all of the Clyde sizes are sold out. I want an Uber version with "301" on the sleeve :D

jaxgtr 04-18-07 07:14 PM

I just inquired if they could get chest sizing in the 50's for us large chest size dudes.

cohophysh 04-18-07 07:59 PM

keep us informed, I need a 50 plus chest

obelix67 04-25-07 11:26 AM

bdinger 04-25-07 01:01 PM

I WANT I WANT I WANT

Also yes, jaxgtr, shoot a message if you find out that they have more. The 3XL should fit me fine (considering 3XL Underarmor is fine) but who knows.

I know I want thought!!

jaxgtr 04-25-07 03:53 PM

I have not gotten a follow up on this yet. I will send him another email tonight once I get home.

bdinger 04-25-07 06:32 PM

Check his latest blog entry, that might shed light on the lack of response :(

I just got an email from Elden and here is what he said:

This is my first foray into ordering jerseys, so I guess it was inevitable I'd make an error of some sort.

FWIW, There will be some XL, XXL, and XXXL jerseys available when the order comes in; I reserved some for non-pre-order purchases.

Thanks,

Elden

Well, I did it. When it came time to pony up the dough, the folks here went from blog participants to "absent under fire." I committed to 2 at $40 or less if anyone would step forward and find a print shop that would work with us. I would have done this myself, but my local town is maybe 10,000 people. No one set up for high volume or mail order stuff like that in this community.

Well, I took the design to a local T-shirt print shop and found out that the image, when blown up, was too pixelated to be of use. I came up with a slightly different graphic that would blow up big enough for a 3X jersey or T-shirt.

The T-shirt print shop needed some time (for which I was charged) to get the graphics smooth enough for silk screening. I pick up 2 jerseys (high vis yellow) and 2 T-Shirts (plain yellow) early next week.

There may be a special edition of the Fat Cyclist jersey as a fund-raiser for cancer research. The catch is that the design may be pink.

It's still a nice jersey, and if it becomes available, I'll probably get it.

I read through that thread, and I don't see people going "absent under fire." I don't think people were aware you were going ahead without a consensus from the group. Could you post your new design?

Thanks for the link! As I said in reply to his post, I'd definitely buy one of those. Cancer, breast cancer, has hit too close to home too many times for me. Plus hey, the women will dig it once they know what it's about :D.

Tom Stormcrowe 05-07-07 07:24 AM

You never PM'd me! I was and am interested, the catch is, we leave for a month long bike tour on the 10th and will be offline for a month!

EDIT: When I never got the PM, I just figured the logistics had gotten too difficult, and the idea fell apart.

Tom,

After waiting over a month for womething to develop on this or the original thread, I too figured that the logistics of getting multiple orders together was just too great. Therefore, I went to see what I could do for myself. I'm getting 4 printed garments at $25 EACH (OUCH!) just for the printing. Of course, that also includes the up-front art and stup charges with these folks. Those would not have to be repeted for later customers.

As for not telling anyone, well, when I changed out the WHOLE HORSE, I figured best to sink my own cash first in case my efforts are fruitless.

Bear

Go back and look at the ORIGINAL thread. This is just an update thread.
