And Michigan Clydesdales out there?

I'm training for the Michigander July 14-19... anyone want to meet once a week on Saturdays for a Clydesdale training ride?

I'll post meet dates and places details on my clydesdalefitness.com training blog.

I'm in Southeastern Michigan. The first ride is set for Saturday May 12 at 8 am along Paint Creek Trail in Rochester. Meet place is the Paint Creek Cider Mill parking lot at 4480 Orion Road Orion Road at Gallagher. I'm also announcing this in a newspaper column I write for the Detroit Free Press on Monday and in my clydesdalefitness.com blog. I'm training for the Michigander in July.

If this first location is too far, we could set up other clydesdale rides around the state on other weekends. I'd be glad to do some travel.

The more motivation the better!

What kind of bike are you planning on riding on Paint Creek Trail? That is a gravel / dirt rail trail. It's better suited for wide tires, not road bike tires.

I live in that area and ride that trial as well as Orchard Trail, Clinton River Trial and Stoney Creek Metro Park mostly. I'll use either my road bike or mountain bike - depending on the trail ridden that day.

I'll join you on that ride. I'm always up for a group ride.

I live in SW MI, would be willing to travel a bit for a nice ride, I prefer roads to trails.

I'm really not interested in this particular event of yours, but I'm just chiming in that "hey, I'm a Michigan clyde... in Clinton Township". I don't get into the group ride thing. I just like commuting to work in Sterling Heights via bicycle and from time to time take my mountain bike to Stoney Creek, Bald Mountain, and Dodge Park.
I might be interested in hooking up with a fellow clyde once in a while for some trail riding, but my work shcedual is too unorthadox to plan any weekly event or anything like that.
