Clyde on a Cypress DX, Any other thoughts?

Greetings all!

This is my first post here.
I am a true Clydesdale. I am 5'11" and will admit to 299 and 9/10ths lbs. ( I surely couldn't be 300 lbs.!).:D
I am looking at getting a new bike. I think that the Hybrids are my best choice, and I like the look/feel of the Cypress DX. (Silver/Silver). My excellent LBS has a leftover 2006 that will go for 333.00 (370.00 -10% discount).

What are your thoughts. Does anyone else have this bike, and how does it hold up while carrying a gentleman of substance? Are there any other bikes that I should strongly consider?

Thanks!

I am by no means an expert but I just test rode just about everything. The Cypress was cool it a nice comfortable ride. One thing to consider is a bike without suspesion if you are going to do mostly ride on paths or the road. I ended up geting a Trek 7.2 fx last week. It felt much quicker but just slightly less plush.

I put about 1,200 miles on a Cypress DX last season, with rides up to 70 miles. Great bike, never had one bit of trouble. Weighed up to 245 lbs.

The only negative was the seat (like most stock seats) and the slime filled tires, & those are both easy to replace.

Thanks for the feedback!
I stopped by my bikeshop and closed the deal on the Cypress DX. I am picking it up tomorrow! I did look at the Trek, but the Cypress seemed to fit me better.
I'll post pictures soon.
