Little has changed in the two and a half years since I posted the above. However, I did ride a century and I've taken up touring. But I still like to ride with other posters.

Looking for some riding buddies in the Peachtree City, Newnan, Sharpsburg GA area. I'm training for the Tour de Cure in May so each week I'm trying to increase my distance by 10 miles. My buddy and I plan on riding a 40 mile route next week. If you're interested then let me know. We are both clydes. He's 6'5" and I'm 260 pounds but we do average about 14 to 15 mph on each ride.

Also, if someone knows of a cycling club in this area, I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks!

I'd like to find some ride buddies for mutual support and encouragement as we build our endurance, distance and fitness. Maybe an organized "clyde ride" a couple times per month.

Looking for some similar ability people to ride with regularly on the Suncoast Trail. My brother also rides too, but he's getting lazy. I need some people to keep me motivated. Anyone in the area?

My Location: Paulding Co Ga MM20 -> MM45 on the Silver comet.
Pace: 12-15 faster if its a short ride.. slower if I am with a slower rider.
Distances:Med to Long, 15-50

I generally ride on nice Sat AMs leaving around 630-700 (time of year dependent) and riding 20-30 miles, 50 if the weather is mild. Spring and Fall I am not above taking a afternoon off to take a ride.. Just cant deal with 90+ that it gets here..

Ohh.. yea.. and.. Bump..

I don't recall seeing this thread before, what a great idea.

Location: Stow, Ohio
Pace: 10-15 mph (I like to ride but don't care too much about speed)
Distance: 0-50 I'd like to say more, but I have realistic expectations of myself.

I am up for a ride anytime that the weather, my family, or school doesn't get in the way. PM me and we'll set something up.

Ride: Pavement (can be roads or trails, on road or mountain bikes)
Pace: 12-17
Distance: With a stop or two, up to 40 for now, more later in the season

Schedule can be iffy (as can the weather), but with some notice we can make it work.

I'm hoping to get back in the saddle this year after not riding at all last year. I trained for a half marathon last year and shortly afterward suffered a torn meniscus which I had surgery on. So no riding at all last year. After putting some weight back on I know it will feel like starting over in many ways.

Location: Worcester, MA (Wachusett Reservoir is my most common riding area)
Pace: Unsure but I would assume 12-16mph
Distance: I'll be starting off slow with 10-20mi but moving up during the summer

Brand new old guy here, and I wanna ride! Anybody else new to the game of bicycling and lives in the surrounding area of 95204/Stockton to include: Galt, Manteca, Modesto, Sacramento..... let's hook up and show me your favorite routes! Here in Stockton, ya gotta ride armed, in a stick-proof vest, know how to "Mad Dog" your potential assailants, and avoid eye contact with the locals...... I'll drive to your location for a little peace from that which has made my home-base, "Worst" as per Forbe's....

Other Central Valley (of California) riders who have posted up include:
"bigbossman" is in San Ramon
"Hardheadmandca" writes from Fresno
"fatdoc" lives in the Republic of Davis

I'm new to this stuff, I have normally spent my time on motorcycles.... it's time to trim up, but I doubt I can keep up with the likes of bigboss, Hardhead, or Doc.....

I live in Worcester county (Berlin) and would definitely be up for going on some rides, usually Sundays.

Drop me PM if you'd like.

You know what would be nifty neat-o? Is if this was a google map so people could go to where they are and see who wants to get together. This wouldn't be the "where are we all" map but the "who wants a ride buddy map".

Plot out a route to Young's Jersey Dairy and I could maybe be pursuaded to drive over for the ride.

I would start out in the parking lot and ride 30 feet.

I'd but up for something like that after softball season is over.

I always thought that this was the point of that map.
