New clothes!!

This isn't bike related, well the cause is - but it's the effect that I'm talking about.
I went shopping with my wife today before work and saw some clothing that caught my eye. I have been wearing size 46 jeans and XXXLT shirts for so long that is all I know to look for. I've noticed that my old clothing has been getting rather loose but old clothes DO tend to stretch and loosen up after a while.
Anyhow, they never had anything in my size so I was just about to give up when my wife handed me a pair of slacks in size 42" and an XXL shirt (not Tall, just 2X). I went to try them on expecting to walk out of the dressing room looking like a freshly linked sausage. Boy was I suprised! They Fit!!! Holy crap, I've lost 4" off my waist and gone down a shirt size, even had to drop the Tall part from my shirt pickin's.
Looks like it's time to try on some of those snazzy cycling clothes that I have been avoiding for so long.

BTW, I never really kept track but I've dropped 30 lbs this year, added to the 30 I was able to maintain off from last year I think I'm doing pretty goood. so it looks like my goal of 230lbs (280lbs right now) by Christmas might be feasable.

Congrats! Good to hear! Keep it up. Nothing like that kind of thing to motivate one to keep up whatever caused the change!

Isn't that a great feeling. I just did the same thing last weekend. Can't remember the last time I wore a 46, but I do now. I am also down to a 3x shirt. Congrats to you.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Wait til you hit a 40 and XL! It's great, especially since once upon a time, I wore 8X

+1 in volumes to what Tom said. I finally had enough when 5XL was tight and I was struggling to find 6XL stuff. Pants were a 62, and below my belly because I couldn't get them above it.

Now I'm loving that I can get clothes pretty much anywhere, as a 3XL is baggy and a 2XL will almost happen.. not quite yet.

Keep it up, this is the kind of stuff that is great to hear!

Naw, as long as non-cyclists can get the supersized 57,594 calorie burger and fries with soda and plastic pie at the drive up window, Omar has nothing to worry about.
