New Clyde here.

Hi everyone *waving*

I am new to the forum, but have had a bike (almost all mtn bikes) since I was about 7yrs. Now at the age of 29, I have decided to start riding more.

Quick history for last 2 yrs:
Fall of 2005 a friend and I started mtn biking some local trails almost every Saturday. We then thought it would be fun to go to Moab. So we set that goal and I dropped a few lbs and we had a great trip in May of 2006. After that, schedules changed and I almost completely stopped riding. This spring I went out with him a couple times, and he has been riding more than ever. I was amazed at how good he has gotten. So here I am with a nice mtn bike that I rarely ride, and wanting to get some more miles in on all the pavement we have. Today I went out and bought a leftover 06 Lemond Buenos Aires for myself, and a new Trek Pilot 1.2 wsd for my wife. Just got back from my first ride on it (a very easy 10 miles with the wife) and I can't wait for tomorrow! I am going to open that baby up and see what she'll really do

I love the support here, and hope I can help at least one person with something!

See you on the road,
Kurt

Welcome to BF! Since you are in a helpful mood, you didn't happen to see my bra lying around when you came in, did you?

I just went for a nice ride this morning. I ended up going just over 23 miles @ about 15mph average. I stopped a couple times to stretch a bit and rest my butt. Everything else was feeling pretty good.

Toward the end I got passed by a couple guys on recumbent's. I was going with the wind and holding about 17mph. They passed me and I decided to kick it in and stay with them for the last 1.5miles. They were chatting and lazily pedaling at 20mph! They were big guys too! I tell ya, that looked fun =)
