Clydes in kilts
Solveg and I at least think it would be lovely to encourage the kilted Clydes to show off, or at least let us know!
Halthane, CliftonGK1, and TS are all apparently kilted lads--anyone else?

Me as well -- a black Mocker by Utilikilts -- which I wear for formal(ish) occasions. My wife is having her sixth 39th birthday this weekend, and I shall be kilted for the festivities.

Mongo--you must check this out then:

Unfortunately, he does not post very often (although he hangs out in the Commuting forum when he is here).

Is this a veiled attempt to start a Show off your legs thread

No, I was thinking about this on the thread about moobs, and adding to the fuel, the thread over in Road Cycling about 'fat people in kit'.
It's more about being a guy, and gutsy enough to wear a kilt. And, even more to the point, being a BIG guy, and gutsy enough to wear a kilt.
Now, if you do happen to show off your legs, then I would not object.
But, Solveg encouraged me, so I'm blaming her for any showing off of legs in this thread .

I have several kilts, including a formal Prince Charlie outfit. But I am just barely a clyde. If you want to see a large selection of clydes in kilts, then I encourage you to come to the PNW Highland Games at the Enumclaw fairgrounds this weekend.

Are you going to be there? I could ride one of the bikes out there and get double duty out of the ride!

Where do you think I have gained my love for men in kilts?
Are you going to be there? I could ride one of the bikes out there and get double duty out of the ride!
Now, my husband thinks I have great legs--but he's biased! I've just gone through my photos, and I don't seem to have one with unclad legs. I'll have to work on that.

Actually, I sure wouldn't mind seeing how all the calf muscles are developing. I'm getting a big lump-muscle under my knee on the outside that looks freakishly large. Not sure I like the the muscle-building aspect of bicycling.
I just really like guys who wear kilts. Whenever I see a guy in a kilt, I think, "I'll bet he's got a strong personality, and I bet I'd like it just fine!" Plus, they look good. That Mocker is nice looking.
I wear skirts while biking, since I haven't needed padding yet. They make boxer shorts for women in great colors, and I'll wear them under the skirt in case of wind. No seams, nice breeze, it's all great!
Edit: I guess there is a seam, but it doesn't bother me.

Being French-Italian, I don't understand how men's body hair became a bad thing! You guys had it good, back when it a sign of being virile. Then all the chest and leg-shaving started, and now guys are stuck with it.
I am also the teensiest bit scot...Williams. I don't know if they have a tartan.

The only time I ever did the shaving routine was back in my tri-racing heyday. Now I'm so lazy I don't even shave my beard. Shaving my head doesn't hardly count as effort, since most of it is falling out on its own.

I haven't had a chance to wear a kilt in almost a decade, but I'll mark this post and if I can find some pictures when I go home in december I'll post them. If it's still serviceable it might actually fit me again, but I can't remember how good of shape its in, it (and me in it took some pretty serious damage the last time I wore it).

I worked at Utilikilts for a while when I first moved to Seattle. Good quality products and very comfy. There is still a guy who I stay in touch with working there that commutes in a kilt every day. I personally own 6 kilts although at the moment I may have *cough* outgrown *cough* them. Just wait though, once they fit again I will be one of those kilted commuters.
