Omaha Corporate Challenge

I have been out of town for a week, and when I went to the gym this morning at 5:00 I turned on the TV, and got to hear the end of a commercial about the Omaha Corporate Challenge Bicycle ride.

Anyone have any information of when, where and how much? Probably not for a single rider like me, but just curious, as I might be back to the area on a weekend to try it.

Any web site information. I am going to go searching some more for some info.

I guess I was typing in the wrong info, because it came up first thing when I typed in Omaha Corporate Challenge in Google.

August 19th is the date, and I think I should be back in town on that day, but I may be moving my daughter to College in St. Joe, MO.

Is anyone else attending?

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

I can't, I'm already doing a Century ride the 19th, in Kokomo, Indiana, called the Sizzling Century.

I figured it was a little far for most people, but there should be some OMAHA people here somewhere.

I have a friend coming to town that weekend from the coast, but I'll see if I can figure it out. I'll keep you posted

Has anyone been to this before? I am new to cycling and would be interested in attending some events, but nothing that is not worth attending. I am possibly looking at a September 9th three state ride in southwest Iowa. There are a lot of hills, so I don't know that I am ready for it.

I have ridden in it the for the last three years as part of a company wellness program. They are expecting somewhere around 3,000 riders this year. It is a fun event and you can ride at any pace you choose. The 10 mile ride is very flat and the 25 mile ride has a few inclines but nothing you would call hills for the most part. The 42 mile ride has some hills but not too bad. I normally ride 25 miles but am considering the 42 mile this year. The rides are out and back and there are refreshments at the turn around. You will see all types and ages of riders. I'd be happy to provide you with any other information, just let me know.
