Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

This thread gave me food for thought:
https://www.bikeforums.net/clydesdales-athenas-200-lb-91-kg/330538-lesson-leanred.html
The upshot is, if one of us is stranded and has a Clyde that lives in the same area, reasonable distance, it might be a good thing to have each others contact info in case of being stranded........
Now if you like this idea, don't post your info on the main thread here.....make arrangements through the PM network.
Just a thought!

Any Clydes (any cyclists, really) on Seattle's eastside can PM me for my phone and email info. I'd be happy to offer a bail out ride, spare tube, etc. if you're stuck in my neck of the woods (well, suburbs actually, but there's some woods close by.)

It would seem as though some good may come of my folly yesterday.
I would be happy to offer a ride, tools, anything up to and including the cloths from my back. I'm located on the edge of Cumberland and Dauphin county Pennsylvania (Harrisburg Area) and would be happy to help out in Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, York, and Lancaster County. PM me if your in the area and would like to set up a buddy network.
Tom
It might also be a good idea to start a thread like this in the other forums too (if its not already). If it's exposed to more people we might get a larger network going.

What is with us Puget Sounders?
I'm in the South end, uh, on the Kent East Hill! Although, I do work at SeaTac airport, so anywhere in the Kent Valley . Anyone who needs, just send a PM for my info. I should point out that I do work some bizarre hours (8.05 pm until 4.35 am) so that the chances of getting me aren't too good unless it's early in the morning .

I don't think anyone's in my area, but I'd be glad to bail out anyone in Washington or Benton County, in Arkansas.

Augh, same thing happened to me once. I have several people to call, but just like the OP in the other thread, I didn't have my cell phone and I don't know people's #'s. 7 mile hike for me. Unlike that guy, I sacrificed the tire (which was older anyway) and rode the thing with the flat on downhills (very slowly) or pushed it. No way I'm carrying a bike for 7 miles!
I created a contact list which I keep in my seatbag now. It's always on the bike, so I always have it.

I'm in Lafayette, Indiana and inside a 25 mile radius, it's doable, or Statewide in a genuine emergency.
PM me your info and I'll also add your number for access through my privacy filters. I'll also send you my numbers for direct access instead of voicemail rollover.
