When Do I Get Back On The Bike?

I was sick for two weeks with the whole sore throat, head cold, chest cough thing. How long before I get back on the bike. I tries riding yesterday...5 miles and I was through, coughing, gasping for air and heart rate up. Today the muscles are tight and sore. I usually ride between 20-40 miles and feel great! How long before I'm back to normal? Should I just push ahead or take it easy?

You should go as far as you feel comfortable with. It will depend upon how your overall health was before, and how much you have actually recovered. Remember that taking a few weeks off will make you a little weaker especially with a severe cold/flu.

Don't over do it, and make sure you have been very well hydrated. Having a cold/flu but will not help you be hydrated.
