Went out today with my buddy Rich. Due to the Hurricane (Dean) in Mexico we got overcast skies and cool temperatures. In fact we got alittle rain!

Anyway I always enjoy the this Clyde's rear view!

Ok, here we go, off the bike, off season, and just off the CVT. I'm about 40 lbs lighter now and a very rare shot of me with a helmet.

Eh, not as much as you think. Deadlifting is more in your head than anything else. I had 525 over my knees and was arching back to pull it up to my waist when the squishy heels of my sneakers smooshed and forced me to step back less I fall with the bar on top of me. I don't think I'm thin enough anymore to fit under the bar. That step broke my form and got my lift DQ'd.

cleans?
Yes, tested clean. Powerclean? My powerclean is kind of sad at 250. My Apartment? Sorry, one guy living alone, what can you expect?

No kidding. If I tried to deadlift 525, I'd blow out both of my knees for sure. If I could even get it off the ground.
You might be surprised just how strong your legs actually are as a clyde, afterall they do have to move our bulk around all day. If you got strong enough hands to hang on to the bar you could easily pull a decent amount of weight. Cycling has helped my dead lifting tremendously, ride a heavy bike with a backpack full of junk you dont even need (my last 30 mile ride I had my backpack loaded with tools, two bricks wrapped in a hooded sweatshirt, extra water bottles, and a clock radio because it fit in the pack), grind, and soon you'll see your numbers go up. Course this will stunt your weight loss.

Oh jeez, What'll it take to prove my innocence? Really, I'm grinding through 4.7k photos on Smugmug as we speak. And that's just the first half.

Edit: Here I am holding a teddy bear somewhere over the North Atlantic.

I'm the one on the left in white. This was after my first metric in June of this year. The photo does not do me justice, I'm actually much more handsome than it makes me appear....

That's just as scary. Teddy Bears... creepy.

Send me a PM if you want to go for a ride tomorrow... I'm going to have to approve you in person. We'll meet in a public place...
