Over 1k today!
Looking at the odometers on the cyclecomputers today, and have officially ridden right through the 1k miles signpost for the year without knowing it!
Todays ride was shorter, but hillier, and felt ok during the ride. Got passed frequently (what else is new, I suck on hills ), but managed to do it.

Tomorrow, another 40 miler!

Congrats on the milestone! That is one hilly ride you have there! I'd never be able to make it.

Hey, Congrats! I had set the 1000 as a goal and it was very cool to not only hit it, but pass it.

Thanks Everyone!
Honestly, the only goal I set for myself this year was to get back into riding and get in better shape. I'd say I've hit that goal.
Around here, the only real flat places to ride, is if I ride close to the shoreline. The roads are usually have heavier traffic, and lead through more industrial areas. There are some nice spots, but few and far between, unfortunately.
The other option... into the hills. Which is why I opted for lower than normal gearing on my road bikes, so I can make it up them without completely wasting myself on the effort.
2k miles this year? It actually looks do-able with my current mileage per week (70 - 100) and the amount of weeks that are left in the year. Maybe you'll see an over 2k announcement somewhere in November

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.
