Biting the bullet

Well, after drifting into the regional forum for the first time yesterday I discovered the Civil War Century is this weekend and decided to jump in. I won't be doing the full century (something about that 7400 ft of climbing makes me a wee bit nervous) but I'm hoping to do the metric. My longest ride to date is 47 miles through the Oakland/Berkeley Hills, which have their share of ups. If I survive there will be pics on Monday.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

You'll do great. Ride in your comfort zone, drink lots and eat smart. Looking forward to the pictures.
