Well, I do not want to break anything - so am not going to even try adding myself...

"Green, Ohio" Summit County 44720 is where I phyically am. The zip code book, shows that 44720 is ONLY in Stark county (not true). Green is a 'township' and as such for mailing reasons I am actually in "North Canton" - Yet, if you had to Chose between North Canton, and Akron, I am much closer to Akron.

It is quite goofy here, and many, many places will argue with us - 44720 is a Canton zip code - 44720 is in Stark County (I like to say OK here, sales tax is cheaper in start county)

Anyhow - thanks for the map Tom, great work as always! And as my rehab progresses I will be a (rather slow) ride partner for basically anybody!

I am from Shelby, North Carolina 28150 but have been living in Chiba, Japan for nine years. Not many Clydes here... or Sumos that cycle.

am signed in on google. no option to add myself to the map. how do you do it?

It won't even let me place any sort of marker.

Only collaborators are allowed to modify their maps, no others can add or remove content.

Yup, that's what I got - so I gave it up thinking I was just too dumb to figure it out.

You have to add yourself.

1. Sign in with a Google Account
2. Click "edit" to the right of the Title (Vege Grill Irvine)
3. Now you get the chance to leave a placeholder. Click on the placeholder icon to activate that function
4. Put it on the map where you are.
5. Type your Bike Forums handle in the title box.
6. Click the blue placeholder icon in the properties box to get the custom placeholders. Select the green bike placeholder.
7. Click OK on your properties box.
8. Click Save on the left side where it lists all the placeholders.
9. Done.

You have to click through all the pages to see where everyone is at.

They are in their early 30's. My daughter and mother-in-law just returned a few weeks ago from visiting them.

Some modifications to the directions...

I had some problems figuring out the directions, so I modified them to make them a little more straight forward.

=====================================

You have to add yourself.

1. Sign in with a Google Account
2. Click "edit" to the right of the Title (Vege Grill Irvine) This is on the left hand side of the page but on the right side of the section -- it is opposite "Collaborate"
3. Now you get the chance to leave a placeholder. Click on the placeholder icon to activate that function Well, not really, you have to right click on the location where you want your placeholder and select "Add a Placemark" and then enter your information
4. Put it on the map where you are. You've already done this
5. Type your Bike Forums handle in the title box.Yup
6. Click the blue placeholder icon in the properties box in the upper right hand corner of the dialog boxto get the custom placeholders. Select the green bike placeholder.
7. Click OK on your properties box. This closes the dialog box
8. Click Save on the left side where it lists all the placeholders. This is the one all the way back from step 2! If you don't do this your entry will not be entered
9. You can drag and drop your placeholder to anywhere in the world!

9. Done.

Hi there, I added myself about a month ago. Bucheon, South Korea (just south-west of Seoul). But I don't seem to be on the map anymore. Anyone know what happened?

Did you remember to save before you closed the map? I did fix it for you, by the way. You are there now.
