Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

You must be around 43-50 yourself! I loved Car-Toons

OK, the geometry is different, with a longer cockpit and lower crank, and shorter crank arms than I have on the old bike, but that seems to really help my cadence! The lighter weight made more difference than I ever could have imagines and the Deep-V's make the handling crisp and tight!

Acceleration is off the charts after all the miles on a touring bike I've done. I feel like I've gone from a truck to a Ferrari! In short, I think I'm gonna love this bike!
I'm glad you like it! In a week or two you're going to be too spoiled to ride your touring bike.

Naw, it's still going to be a commuter and bad weather bike. + there are a lot of places I ride where I need the wider tires and toughness of the touring ride, as well as the easy field expedient repair capability of friction DT shifters.

Great looking Allez, Tom. I've got the 2006 Allez in Red, but I'm liking the black better.
