Clydes of North Texas
There are some good rides coming up. What's everyone doing? I was going to do the Cotton Patch on Sept 20 and do my first Century ride in Waco on Sept 27.

Are you going to the Hotter N Hell? I haven't decided what to do after that, but my buddy and I try to do a group ride every other week.
We are in Arlington/Mansfield, so we hit the ones that aren't too far away. I'm just working my way up. I just did my first ride over 40 at the Melon Patch Tour.

Not doing HH100 this year. I will do it next year for sure when I can plan it a little better.

I was pondering the Hotter-n-Hell assuming it wasn't hotter than hell. The 10-day forecast currently shows a high of 89 that day! Woo hoo! May be the only time I ever try it!

Just looking at the calendar, the ones that sound interesting are the ones in Forney, Greenville, and Springtown. Not sure I'll do 'em all. Oh, I assume the Turkey Roll is on in Denton, and I did that last year.

I'm looking at the Wounded Warrior ride in Southlake on Sept. 13 and The Livestrong Challenge in Austin in October.
I'm having some health issues that may keep me to a really short ride in Southlake, but that's OK, I'll just ride with the guests of honor.
It wouldn't hurt to work something in late Sept. or early October though. I'm going to try and get some group rides in on Saturdays with Team RBM or PBA. Been riding solo and need some group practice, plus miles.

Weather.com 89
Accuweather 98 with Very High as the UV index
wunderground 95 (92 by 1pm)
I guess we hope weather.com is right.
Tour de Argyle actually passes right by my house so I'll probably ride that one if my wife takes the day off. Other then that I'm probably going to keep it to commuting. Done way too much driving to events this year.

I know Lufkin is a good stretch from the Metroplex, but the Pinewoods Purgatory is an excellent ride. First Sat in October...........https://www.pineywoodspurgatory.com/rideinfo.php

Up at the HHH, I got a card for the Big Dam Bridge ride in Little Rock. The longer rides aren't of interest to me as they sound hilly, but the 14 mile ride might be a good route for the cargo trike. Looks like a cool bridge.
