Get better Tom. I feel your pain. I am currently recovering from a couple of surgeries in that same area and have been off the bike for 4 months.

Tom,

I have been trying to think of something crafty play on words like ASSESS or the other poster who said, " hopefully the worse is BEHIND you." Unfortunately I can't come up with anything that good. I wish you the best of luck for a full and speedy recovery.

I know it sucks but you're tough enough to get through this. I know you're also smart enough to listen to the advice of the medical staff. I know this is unpleasant (to put it very lightly) and you don't want to have to deal with it again. Most of the people I deal with are too stubborn or don't understand the importance of treatment and lifestyle changes such as chewing carrots before swallowing. (Nursing home residents)
So hang in there Tom!

Okay Tom - you are either really doped up at the hospital, or you still have your sense of humor intact. I'm guess on #2.

Hang in there, Tom. The whole group is thinking about you.

If you do, make sure you're in front of a white garage door.

Honestly though, get well soon. I hope you'll still be able to post while you're in there. The clyde forums won't be the same without you. Good luck.

Well, a quick update.......

My Dr released me to ride in a limited fashion! Unfortunately, we have a winter storm coming in so it'll be on the trainer

I'm assuming you'll be installing some wicked foam insulation on your saddle, or at least wearing like 5 pairs of shorts. Be careful and take care of yourself.

It's good to hear you're doing well. I hope you'll be out riding soon, where you belong. Best of luck.

I think that it is just as well, that the snow is preventing you from riding outside. I think that you should ride without potential pot-holes and curb-jumps for a while. Yep. Take care of yourself, and don't push too hard at first, either. Slow and steady for the first few weeks, heh?

Not being a frequent poster on this forum, I hope I'm not being too invasive by saying I'm behind you all the way!

It may be tough now, but... soon you'll put all of this behind you and you'll be sitting pretty!

We're getting the same storm up here. With the lake effect they're saying 12+ inches for us.
I'm switching to cross country skis for a little while.
