With 2 kids, age 3 and 1 month, I can't shoot too high. However, I would at least like to get myself back down to 205(from 230) and doing at least one fast group ride/week. Maybe commute to work one or two days/week(26 round trip). It this point.. maybe 60-75 mile/week might be as much as I can shoot for.

Greg, good luck with school. My wife is in her LPN year and will then have the RN year. I understand what you are talking about. Her school work is my priority, I try to get everything done, so all she really has to worry about is school work. It is too bad she gets car sick, because we have to drive about 3 nights a week for our youngest daughter's basketball games right now.

One of my initially stated goals for 2008 was the century-a-month challenge.
I was sick for a week (and off the bike for 10 days) and then moved apartments (another 10 days off the bike while carting things back and forth in my Jeep. Combine those things, and I've barely gotten over 200 miles in for the entire month of January.
Plus, it's really cold. I'll be honest: I don't like spending more than 50 miles riding in the freezing cold rain. Warm summer rain, sure. 34 degrees, not so much. While completing the challenge would be nice, I won't do it at the sacrifice of my having fun while riding.
I'll still do a bunch of century rides this year. 6 or 7 at least. But not one-a-month.

1, Loose fifty pounds
2, Get off my @#$ and commute to work at least four days a week by spring. Should help the weight loss!
3, Do at least one weekend tour, camping for a day or two would be cool.
4, Eventualy, I would like to be as car free as possible. Only using my pickup on weekends is a reasonable goal.
5, Get rid of as much stuff as possible. I've got too much stuff I don't realy need weighing me down and
filling my garage too! Time to simplify life a little.

1. Lose 25 pounds.
2. Get blood pressure where it needs to be (see #1).
3. Get a bike and ride it.
4. Find and flip 10 bikes or more.
5. Hit some mileage milestones (meager, so I won't post here, but meaningful to me as I have not been on a bicycle in over 30 years...)
6. Restore my old college bike, that has been sitting idle those 30 years, often in less than ideal storage conditions (under the screened in porch the last seven years).

I weighed my self today. Hit a little over 300. SO the goals for next year
Lose as much weight safely as possible. still want to be a clyde. Feel comfortable riding my bike in public. I am going to use a stationary bike till I meet that goal. Get rid of tons of stuff. Fix my house after the flood. Run an ultra as a clyde.
Be healthier "quit smoking".
