First new bike in 15 years!
Well, I hope to order my Christmas present today, a new 2008 Masi Gran Criterium. It’s my first new bike in probably 15 years. My last bike purchase was a Cannondale Delta V 700 (with headshock)? I started getting into spinning at my local gym about a year ago and I even teach it now. This stirred the bike bug in me once again and I’m taking the plunge. I feel like a kid in a candy store. Does anyone else get this excited when spending a couple/few grand on a new bike?

A new bike purchase seems to always put a smile on your face no matter what the purchase price.

Before Tom gets a chance to say it again.....
"Don't ya love that new bike smell?"
Seriously though. Congrats on your new steed!

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

That said, congrats on the Masi! That's a sweet ride Pics are expected as soon as you have it in hand, you know.

I get that way waiting on new PARTS to come in.
Shoot, a New Bike and I can't sleep until It's out of the box, built, tested, fitted and ridden at least once. I then start looking it over to see what parts might be improved upon before I wear stuff out.
Yes Sir...It's a sickness!

I didn't even have to spend that much to feel like this. My Surly X-Check is the first new bike I've had in almost 18 years. Yeah, I feel 18 years younger every time I ride.

After getting inspired by the book "Younger Next Year" (which I HIGHLY recommend) I also decided to get back on the bike after 20 years. Never one to do anything half way I went out and ordered a Serotta Fierte IT. They tell me it'll take 6 weeks which is driving me crazy.
