Hello, hello!

I often read (lurk) the forum in the mornings as I properly caffeine-ate myself. But I figured I'd use this thread as an introduction. I'm Jason in Chicago (white-hot despising this winter/"Spring") by way of New Orleans--thusly rationalizing my disdain for this weather up here. Anyway, I've pretty much been riding all my life, didn't get a driver's license until 25, and still use the bike as my primary mode of transportation (all-year round, too! even in Chicago, I'd rather ride than drive). I figure I'm a Clyde thanks to my favorite 4-letter word--beer--but that's going to fall by the wayside so I can lose this damnable winter weight and look forward to unhindered summer fun--long solo/group rides, tours, etc.

Somehow, I've acquired a decent bike collection over the years--a 1992 Bridgestone XO-1, a Bridgestone MB-4, Bridgestone 500 (down in New Orleans so I have a bike to ride when I go home),an '89 Fuso Lux, and an Orange Rambouillet (built largely from the parts of my old, cherished RB-1 that got wrecked). I love them all, and try to spread my affection to them evenly during my commute to and from work!

I wasn't riding my Bridgestone MB5 anymore so I basically gave it away when I moved last year. The X0-1 is quite a bike though. Wish I had one of those.

Welcome!
