Getting Close to Losing the Clyde Title

Hey guys. I might be looking for that cert in a few weeks. I'm at 203 now and inching closer to the 200 and down point.

When I started this 8 months ago, I just wanted to get to 220 from 237. Then, I thought, what would it be like to be 215 and i kept the same thought each time I reached a goal. My new goal is 190. I think that is very attainable. Going below that may get much harder.

Outstanding! I'll be looking forward to seeing it and making it out .

Be sure to PM me though when you hit the threshold, as I have a lot of irons in the fire and considering I do NOT want to miss out on making it up. It's one of my favorite things associated with the forum

Just get one of those load bearing backpacks and add weight until you're back in the club.

Of course you can take it off and dust the poor waifs that don't have the genetic potential to get as big and strong as you can be.

I love that! That's a great way to think, WM!

In the meantime, let us know when you hit that mark, mgmoore7! And remember, you are always welcome here, no matter how much weight you lose .

The good thinig is this: You don't have to leave A Clyde Emeritus hanging around is good for the forum....to show people that it can be done

Look, some people are always going to be Clyde's or Athena's, no matter what, but with them, it's a matter of being the "fittest" Clyde or Athena they can be. We have a few Emerituses hanging around though.

I'm afraid my spell-checker crashed on "Emerituses". So I'm limping along in manual for a while...

Well, grammatical correctness is reserved for Academic papers for me I guess the correct plural would be Clyde Emeriti.....;P

Terrific!!! I'm right there with you. I've been working toward the goal of being a non-clyde by Ironman Arizona. Less than three weeks to go and 2-4 lbs depending on when I get on the scale.

Congrats on your progress!!!

Nice work!

Hey, once you hit 190 and think you might want to lose more, it can be done. I don't know what your proportions are but I started at about 220 about 10 months ago and now am knocking on 185. I just have been very disciplined about getting my training time in (both strenuous and recovery days) and watching what I eat (although not really depriving myself - just being smart about it). I have had very few weeks where I didn't meet my 1 pound weight loss target. Although, this may be one of those weeks as my Mom visited over Easter and I didn't maintain the calorie deficeit I usually do .

Keep it up!!!

Way to go. I slipped under Clyde status a few weeks ago and totally maintained my diet and exercise routine and the scale quit moving on me. Finally the scale has started making a move again. I guess I hit a plateau or something. Even though the weight stayed I could tell the pants were getting looser.

It's all relative. Just keep on keeping on and keep up the great work.

Congrats, and I wish you all the best to achieve your goal.

I'm at 195 lbs now, but still consider myself a clyde, because I'm 5' 7".
