700x23 or 700x25 Will I really be able to tell the difference?

Im at 215lbs. 25's are harder to find. On my Trek 2200 road bike. Just curious if I should just get the 23's or stick with the 25's. Thanks for any advice.

Very little difference in speed and snap. The 25's will give you a slightly smoother ride, though.

The main difference is on the label. I've run 23's (claimed) that were really generous 25's. I've run 22's that were more supple than 25's. Normally I run 23's because that's about all my roadbike can accommodate. The question is, what do you want from your tires?

I'm 220 and run 25's at 75-80 psi over some very rough roads. No pinch flats and no blurred vision. For me, I had to run 23's at max pressure to keep the rims from hitting the ground on broken pavement, and stretches of chipseal would vibrate me numb. YMMV
