Recovery, Lactic Acid, Anerobic......

I must be an idiot! I know what aerobic activity is and have read quite a bit but obviously have absorbed nothing.

I need laymen's terms to explain to me aerobic vs anaerobic, lactic acid etc.

Can someone please direct me or explain to me all of these terms?

Thank You.

Tom, based on those links I'm a little surprised that you haven't chimed in on the "help with heart rate" thread...or are you just tired of having that argument?
