Probably Wasn't Worth It. . .
So, I had gotten down to 233lbs.
Took a weekend off, went to Opening Day and home game #2 (GO ROCKIES!)
Ate hotdogs and drank beer (they were baseball games, after all!)
Monday morning, weighed in back up at 239.
I wish it were as easy to DROP weight as it is to GAIN it!
But what a fun weekend!

GO ROCKIES!!!
Man, I loved going to those games when i was a kid. Spent some years in Littleton and Highlands Ranch. Just have to get back at it, I know when i slip i feel bad later that day or next time I step on the scale so i quit slipping.

I'm not worried-- was mostly excited to have gone to opening day, but had to make it fit the Clyde forum!
The hardest part is getting the last two pounds to cross over each ten pound mark.
Thanks for the encouragement!

I bet half of that is water weight like Neil said. When I drink a lot of beer, espcically when combined with salty food I gain a bunch of weight, but drop if off in a couple of good sweaty workouts.

Ah, yes, there's nothing like a gym filled with guys working off their drinking the night before. Gross!

My wife and I usually eat in a local restaurant on Friday evening. By Sunday morning we are showing a weight gain of a couple of pounds. It can be discouraging. This past weekend we did not go out to eat and our weight remained steady. Mine even dropped a little because Saturday I rode 52 miles for the first time in a long time. Previously a longer ride has been about 40 miles and I fortify myself for the trip home with a couple salted nut roll candybars. But, Saturday it was a better breakfast and only an energy bar. I kept the gearing a little low so the pedalling was easy and tried to make it a little faster. The heart rate was closer to 80% of MHR than the usual 70%. My legs were shot for a day, but my weight got off of its 203 plateau and is hovering at 201 now.

I'm not a Clyde (anymore, that is...I've weighed as much as 250 lbs. in the past), and probably shouldn't be posting here, but perhaps some may be interested in the ups and downs of my recent efforts at weight loss. I've been keeping daily records and drawing graphs since last summer. Note how jagged the line is...
Don't be too concerned about the short term. It's the long term trend that matters.

Having gone through a lot of weight loss and gain, just remember, most people can't eat "clean" all the time. Set up a cheat meal once a week, where you can eat anything you want, then get back on track. This makes eating healthy a lot easier for most people, including me.

3,500 * 6 = 21,000 calories to gain 6 pounds. That would be more than 20 hot dogs and 20 beers... and this is in addition to whatever you burn up by your normal metabolism... and calories burned cheering.
Unless you were really partying hard, it is water weight.

Haha-- yeah, I'm pretty sure my monday morning weigh-in would be the least of my concerns if I'd had 20 Hot Dogs and 20 Beers. . .
Especially considering I drove home after both games!
Thanks for the encouragement, everyone!
BTW, you're correct about the water weight-- I'm down four pounds from yesterday
