2008 Stats

I know that most of you guys are "monsters" on the bike, but I just broke 200 miles for the season. Pretty good considering that I have also been a fair weather very casual rider in the past and have never done more than 250 miles in a summer. This year I decided to get "serious" and try and do break 500. I don't think I'll have problems doing that barring some unforeseen circumstances. I have finally gotten myself in shape enough to start a century training plan. My goal for this year is to ride the entire C&O Canal Towpath in 2 days. I was able to ride 15 out of 30 days in April, probably could've done more but I got hit by a sinus/allergy/cold/flu bug in mid month and knocked me out for 5 days. Without further ado!

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Paco, my friend, the only person you're in competition with is the prior version of yourself. Stick to that idea and you'll turn into a mile monster yourself. Each time you improve over a prior goal just adds to the capabilities you have already, but just don't know about yet.

As long as you're having fun, that's all that matters!
