Any Clydes riding Campy Ventos or Khamsin Wheels?
I just bought a bike with Record 10 and came with the Campy Eurus wheels. They are a low spoke wheel, 16F/21R.. I was amazed at how stiff they felt considering I am 225lbs.
I think campy has something with the G3 spoke pattern. I was going to keep these wheels, but looking at getting a set of Ventos or Khamsins for training rides.. They have the same spoke pattern but come with 24F/27R spoke pattern..
Anyone out there using these wheels and what has been your past experiences, good or bad..
Thanks..

I use the Campy Protons and started on them at 280 pounds. After 2 years I took them in to be checked and my mechanic commented on how straight they were. He couldnt believe how well they hold up. I now have a set on both road bikes.

I bought a set of Khamsin wheels about three months ago and have ridden them about 600 miles with absolutely no problems. I'm 254# now.
The other advantage with the Khamsin's is that you don't have to have a bell or holler "passing" just stop pedalling for a second. The ratchet is loud enough that people hear you coming. I understand that this is the norm and will quiet a little with milage, but I haven't noticed it quieting yet.

The Khamsins were my 1st choice, being 200+ a couple hundred extra grams of weight is not the issue, durability is the issue.. I have found a few places that are selling these for 200-220 price range.
I think I may go with the gold khamsins..
