New Bike!
Considering the rash of accidents running around this forum I almost feel bad about this thread. Perhaps a little new bike porn will help lighten the mood.
Saturday I took a left over 2007 Raleigh Grand Sport home. I got a good deal on it and felt I couldn't pass it up in favor of the line of entry level road bikes. Anyways, I've put ten miles on it so far and I love it.
I put a set of Shimano M520 clipless pedals (so far no crashes), and decided to dork it up with a shiny kickstand.

Seriously, congratulations on the new steed. And, please, DON'T CRASH!

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Yes the bottles are sensual, but I like it that way...you might even say I'm a pedalphile.

You hit on a great topic, here. Build a good relationship with one LBS, and they'll go out of their way to treat you right. When choosing where to buy my LHT I was torn between my LBS who had it for list price, and another really good LBS who had it for $930 - $55 off list. In the end I chose my LBS, and was rewarded by them throwing in an amount of free accessories that more than made up the cost difference. Now I just have to be good and stick to the "free" amount, instead of going crazy and getting all kinds of stuff with the money I "saved" (like a Jandd expedition rack and panniers..)

Sweet! Just so my wife doesn't catch me watching velo p0rn online
I agree about getting to know your LBS. I try to spread my business between the two in my town.
BTW - Red makes you go faster!
