Socks for BigFoot?

Any recommendations for bigfoot sized socks for road biking that don't break the bank? My foot is size 15 and I'm typically forced to squeeze into a sock for a 13 or 14 shoe. Thanks for any suggestions!

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Just get some diabetic socks from Walmart in the footie size. They do fairly well and are generally available up to sock size 16 (15 in shoes. )

I think you can get the Pearl Izumi in larger sizes and I like their brand. The UnderArmor stuff can be purchased at a decent price once in a while, not sure on their socks though.

+1 on the Pearl Izumi's. I wear a 14 (50 in euro sizes) and I find the PI's to be a decent fit. Adidas also makes an XL sock that's good.

I use Walmarts coton socks. They go up to size 16.
For me they are cooler then bike socks.

I wear a size 16 and I like the quality and fit of the Wigwam socks:

I am not going to buy any more of the UA socks. I found some at the local Dick's (Yes, a real store name... ), paid about $6.00 a pair and promptly wore through them. The heals just disintegrated after about 4 rides, which is pretty shoddy.

Does anyone else have a source for socks that are 1/4-length, preferably black/gray, and last a while? I have tried eBay, lot's of 'sock-guy/hut/source' sites, and Champion and have a hard time finding anything that isn't sized 6-12.

Oh - it would be nice if they weren't $15.00 a pair too... I'm not into paying big bucks for crappy socks (again).

I know much of this sounds grumpy, but - dang it.. I have big feet and I like good socks!

I own Pearl Izumi socks, but I don't know if they get to your size. They are not cheap, but I have over 1000 miles on one pair and not a problem. But, I only wear them for biking or running. That is a combination between running and biking on that pair of socks. They get washed quite often, but it is a hand wash in the sink and dry on a drying rack and not the drier, unless they make it to the dirty clothes and I miss them when I do the laundry.

I thought the UA socks were supposed to be made for athletes, so I was hoping for better quality than that. I don't wear cotton socks to work out for biking or running, so the Wal-Mart and WigWam socks don't work for me.

My wife said that Wal-Mart/Target/K-Mart sometimes have their brand of athletic wear available, and the next time she is shopping she is going to get me a couple pair of their socks to try out.

Are you wanting cotton socks or good socks for biking and running? You could go to your running shoe store or your LBS and see what they have. The running shoe store that I buy my shoes have sizes larger than many places and the LBS's that I have been in don't have anything larger that 12 usually. Running socks may do the same thing for you as biking socks. It is worth looking into.
