I am tired of my creaky pedals!

So I still have my original spd pedals that came with my Trek 520 I purchased about 6 months ago. About 1 month later the things started creaking and squeeking. This always seems to happen to the cheap pedals that come on all of my bikes.

So,

What pedals do other clydes recommend. I will pay for quality, just want some good strong non squeeky spds.

thanks....

I got this lube for $1 on a whim - the cool part is it has a very thin nozzle. On one pedal that was squealing something awful I took some teflon grease and then squirted some through the grease so it would get into the bearings and spun it for a while, adding more and working it in. Fixed it up quick.

Hmmm - was looking for some pedal threads to add to the FAQ, anyone have some suggestions to post?

I had SPD"s. liked 'em but hated the squeak.

I tried PDM-520's. Still spd but this model hads the connecting parts away from the spindle (suspended) so that they don't rub metal to metal, no squeak. Only $50, got 'em on all of our 8 bikes. One is a tandem so 9 pair!:D

I took the pedals off and dumped oil down them, that seemed to fix that problem for a good long time.
