2002 Hardrock A1 Comp FS (is this a decent price?)

Hello fellow Clydesdales and Athenas!

I am a guy around 5'10 and right nearing the border of 300lbs and have recently decided to get back into biking (never was a mtb type of rider) and decided to get a mtb to be able to ride trails and paved roads as I have another clydesdale friend who is going to get a bike eventually and he will most likely be doing alot of light trail riding and paved road riding. I have another friend who has a FS mtb and plan on doing some trail riding with him also as he used to run the trails around the DFW area a couple of years ago.

My main question is, I found a bike on craigslist, which appears to be the above titled Specialized model, and was curious whether $175 asking was a good deal? He has other pics, which I cannot view here at work, but I did at home and I did see the word "Comp" on the top bar next to the "HR"

Here is a pic of said bike

If you have any other suggestions, feel free to post them here also as I have been slowly getting into this forum and checking everything out.

Only thing I'd be concerned about is fit, it looks a little on the small end. Other than that, it looks new. I'd say $175 is fair, $150 would be awesome.

Yea that was also my concern, was planning on calling the seller later today to see if he knew what size the bike was.

Other than looking a tad small it looks like a pretty good deal to me. When you go to check it out stand over the top tube then pick the bike up until it hits your dangly bits. You should only be able to pull the bike up an inch or two. The bike might also look small because of how low the seat it, at 5'10 your going to need to raise that seat up a bit.

Thanks for the tip Bautieri!

I really want to spend the money on a new Hardrock Sport, but deciding to hold off due to tight money and I don't know how much I will get into this trail riding
