Only cause my Athena can hang with the boys! Our lil ride on Sunday. A 30 miler. She's also done a few 72's and an 84 along with the group. Life is sweet when the Lil Missus hangs with the boys!

Maybe a century sometime soon?

You are indeed a lucky guy.
What kind of a pathway are you riding on? It looks like a old road thats been re-lined with bike lanes and shoulders. I've never seen any simular to it.

It's a path but this short section is the top of the Santa Fe Dam. I've never seen any vehicles up there but sure there are maintenance trucks and such. Down the way there is a booth used for entry fees into the recreation area below. So could have been used as a road before , maybe another entrance to the park. But it's a very short section, about a mile maybe. The rest of the path is the usual type trail.

I'm happy for you that you have someone so compatible to love and be loved by.

I'm not going to get jealous tho because I am quite happy with my foxy Athena chick!

My Becky rides, cooks, and snuggles like no other.

She helped me pick out Eagle, encouraged me to spend the dough, kicks me in the massive butt if I go too long without riding...

I am content.

No envy regarding the riding with you but might get envious about the cooking and baking. What are some of the yummiest foods mrs beanz cooks? Mouth watering already.

Yup! It was 105 the weekend before. Midweek was 50'ish with plenty of rain. Forecast for Fri, Sat and Sun was scattered showers. This was Sunday, no showers but cool and dark. Not to mention a tornado a few days back.

Mr. beans how many miles is the SF Dam?

Mr. beans, I am just south of the SF Dam in whittier area, but I have never ridden the top of the dam. I have ridden up along the 605 bike path to the dam though.
Just curious how many miles around the entire dam area?

Great to learn of other local rides.

Fear not, since the pics were taken, every single one of us now has either found their helmet or purchased one.

Just enjoy the pretty girl picture.

Sorry, never been around on the dam, just that short section, maybe 1.5 miles. We start at Encanto park, ride the trail to the rec area, then up the dam for the short section, then down to the SGRT. Only been on that trail 5 times maybe. Usually to Seal Beach and back, 72 miles round trip.

But nope, never been around the entire dam top. Only learned about a month ago that it did go around. One guy mentioned that it would add about 3 more miles if we went the opposite direction on the return. My guess would be 4 or 5 miles but that's just a guesstimate!

If you asked in the SoCal forum, I'm sure someone would know. A few locals from that area!

I'd like to get out on casual rides with her every once in awhile, but I also like the quiet time spent riding alone (Women ride to talk, not to ride).
