Test Ride Issues?

So I've been trying to test ride a few bikes around in the pursuit of the ultimate clyde friendly large sized (61-62cmi'sh) singlespeed. The problem is almost nobody has a selection of them. One of my LBS's had several of the Langsters in stock. I tooled around on a 58cm for a few minutes just to check out the build quality, but at 6'5, I felt a bit like I was on a bmx. Anyway, I've asked one shop to order a bike for me on spec, but it didn't go through, and I'd feel a bit guilty if I didn't like it and they had it on their shelves for a long time. Anyone have a creative solution?

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Do an actual fitting, and then order based off of the results and out some money down on the order.

I'm 6'3" and I understand this problem. It would be that much worse if I were your size.

Maybe take a trip to your nearest large city and spend a day test riding bikes?
