Opinons on CL Bike?

Hey, i have been biking alot on my trek 7100 and have been wanting a road bike for a while. I came across this on CL and i think it is pretty nice for a decent price. What does everyone here think, i have called the guy and its the right size.

It ain't a road bike. Looks to be an older MTB or possibly a hybrid.

what year is your 7100? just a general info cause i bought one new in 2000. I have read some bad reviews about strength of the wheels, I believe at #280 I qualify as a clyde, and after about 16k of urban riding (on /off curbs) i have never had a single problem there. I always wondered if i was lucky or if the reviews i read were wrong?
