Numbness, ahem...

Hey all, I'm 6'3" 260 and have recently started cycling to get back in shape. The goal is 215 before my wife delivers our first kid in October. I'm riding a Surly Steamroller fixed gear, and really like it. The challenge that I'm having is a bit personal, but I figured this would be a good place to start.

I guess I'll just come out and say it, after riding for 7-10 miles, my "manhood" is numb for a bit. I've never had this problem on my mountain bike, but I was slimmer then too. I'm guessing the saddle is the culprit because the darn thing is super small, and super hard. I was looking at the Specialized saddles to swap out, but what say you????

Hi,
big guys have big hips. Saddles made for regular size guys are short and not as wide.

I've only found one that works for me.

First, get your sit bones measured for the proper width saddle. Then replace the saddle. Specialized has a great tool for this, called, and I kid you not,the Ass-O-Meter.
