Saturday ride

I decided not to race on Saturday for many reasons (up late, slept in, Cat ate my license, broke a nail....yada-yada) after I got up and kicked myself in the head for not racing I decided to make amends with me self and headed up to North GA to do the Gaps (3 GAP is the ride I did). I've done this ride (70mile loop) 17 times last year and it not only offers some great views it also offers so rather long climbs followed by some insane downhill’s. The first major climb is Woody Gap and then there is Wolf pen gap and last but not in anyway least is Neels Gap. The traffic was light other then the motos doing their thing. On the back side of Neels Gap I was alone without any cars or bikes around, it was bliss. As I got into my tuck postion and tried to milk any free speed I could I noticed a biker was right next to me waving his arms and flashing his hands... what he was telling me was that I was doing 55MPH! I was riding solo so I did not want to push the envolope

Here are some photos of the day…

My (new to me) loaner rear wheel... Cane Creek Cronos. I put this thing through the toughest road test there is... Biggie style G-turns on Wolf Pen Gap. I'm happy to say that it passed with flying colors!

That's some nice scenery right there. 55mph is a scary thought though!
