I just realized I've had my bike for a month now, well month and 2 days. And I would have never guessed that biking is still as much fun as it was when I was a kid. The first 3 rides were short ones, 3 miles at most. Then i figured out a decent way to mount my Garmin Etrex Vista GPS and use the trip computer function. Un all total in that month and 2 days, I've ridden 22 days. A few in there I walked instead. And some I just got busy or lazy.
I've kept track of each ride that I used the gps unit. Doing that, I've ridden 19 days, and logged 231.754 Miles so far. Longest ride was just this past saturday, at 18.72 miles.
No weight loss in that time, but I had lost around 30 pounds from the beginning of the year until I bought the bike. I can feel a difference though, I have more energy,and even when I think I'm going to skip a ride, I find myself heading out anyway....lol I also have myself to the point that I don't have to get off and walk any of the inclines on my routes. I'm also pushing myself to ride up more hills.
I know I have a long way to go to get to some of your levels. But I am enjoying riding more and more each trip.

Great. I've been here almost 3 years. I haven't lost any weight, but I sure have gained endurance and muscle strength. Ride on.
