OK - I started -THANKS TO THIS THREAD!

I started with the baby pushups - knees bent and did I think 11 of the lil darlings on Monday. You know I think I am sore today! OK tomorrow I will do the next day in the first week. I am not doing them 100% perfect - I go as low as i can and then start up - so my chin does not touch the floor. If it did - I would stay ont he floor - so I go back up and do the next one.

One day maybe I will improve! This must be working cause I am sore....in my pushup muscles.

Interesting, I am doing the same program, but stumbled upon it from another venue (Lifehacker).

It's a pushup program that gradually works up to 100 pushups in 6 weeks. I'm giving it a shot to get rid of some much hated upper body fat. If you can't do a full push-up, i'm sure that doing a variation, like doing them on your knees, would be much better than not doing it at all. And I find that mapped out programs such as this are much easier to follow than working out all willy-nilly. Today is only Week 1 Day 2 for me so we'll see how it goes.

Here's tip to help on form, if you aren't aware, look forward and not down when doing a pushup. Helps to keep the back straight. I've never touched my chin on the floor unless I crashed. The goal is imagine a fist on the floor and lower your cheast to the top of the fist. You might find a pillow or stuffed toy of the proper height and touch it each time.

I start week 2 tonight. I started on a Thursday, stupidly, so instead of taking two days off that would normally be the weekend, I'm just doing them every other day. So far so good, it's nice to be doing a little strength training again.

Ok Today was day 2 - Week 1. Hmmm not sure I am doing this right - but it was definitely harder. I guess I am doing what I can - but I may need to repeat week 1 again until I can make these girlie pushups smooth. rright now i kind of look like a fat table doing a push up. I know the objective - just having trouble getting myself flat, looking ahead and lowering my self.

(I did do 10 min on revolving stairs - YIKES! 40 min on elliptical, pushups and then some weights...so thoguht I may not be Miss Pushup...I am working it.)
