My first ride

I bought a bike for commuting, so I took it out today for a ride around stone mountain in georgia.

I rode about 4-5 miles around the 12 mile loop and bailed. It was really hilly, with at one point a quarter mile where several hundered feet are gained. I guess not eating or sleeping the night before hand had something to do with my slowness, and failure, but boy am I beat.

Good job for getting out there none the less!

You will do better the next time around. What kind of bike did you get for commuting?

I wouldn't call it a failure. If you came home still on the bike with no injuries and had some fun, it sounds like it was a sucessful first ride. You'll get more endurance as you ride more, so keep at it.
