Considering it was your longest nonstop ride ever, even the time is respectable! Way to go, and keep it up. The pounds will be jumping off you pretty soon, just to get away from all that exercise.

    Nice!
A couple years ago when I first started getting back into longer distances, 40 miles was the first big goal I set for myself.
You'll be amazed how easy the miles start coming to you after doing this first big ride. You'll be at the 37 mile mark on a century someday, thinking back to when 37 miles was the finish line.

How far was your longest ride previous to this? I am asking since i am debating on doing my first group ride this weekend and the route is flat and around 42 miles. Not sure if I am ready.

    Congrats on your ride.

    Congrats on your ride.
I usually ride 10 during the week, and then 20 on weekends. last weekend i did 42 as part of a MS150 training ride, and I made it; it was the longest i've ever gone. Prior to that, my longest was 25. I was pretty tired by the end, but the jump from 20 to 42 wasn't that bad. I just had to get myself through it mentally. It was fun to pass 20 miles and think "hmm, normally i'm done by now..."

Good job. Just did my longest ride also, only 28mi. My goal was to do a century this year. Probably not happening. Took a while to get my 2nd choice of new bike. Then I had to wait for new tires because the OEMs have flatted twice and I didn't want to be stranded.
